The brain is a complex organ in the body that spends a lot of time running on autopilot, with negative thoughts rampaging through it producing negative emotions. Unfortunately, we can’t control what comes into our minds, we often have random thoughts that just appear without us wanting them to but we can control which thoughts we give our time and focus to and how we choose to respond to those thoughts; which ones we give significance to and which ones we ignore.
Understanding what happens in our brains and the thoughts that we have will help us to start to think differently. Scientists believe that the Conscious mind is only 10% and the Subconscious mind makes up 90%. This means that a lot of your brain function is unintentional; your thoughts, actions, and habits.
